Good design doesn’t just tell a story—it earns the right to be heard.

Hi, I’m Joshua Castillo—a creative strategist, designer, and storyteller with nearly a decade of experience turning big ideas into compelling visuals and campaigns that connect. Whether it’s building a citywide branding initiative from scratch, reshaping government reports into narratives that resonate, or helping nonprofits clarify their message, my work always starts in the same place: with people.

I’ve built a career at the intersection of public service and creative direction. At the City of San Antonio, I’ve had the privilege of leading branding efforts, managing multi-platform content strategies, and designing materials seen by thousands—from glossy resource guides to full-scale district campaigns. I’ve created logos, organized City events, shot videos, produced infographics, and revitalized visual identities to make information more accessible, relatable, and human.

But my creative journey doesn’t stop at City Hall. As a freelancer, I’ve collaborated with clients across Texas—from health organizations like Health Confianza to hospitality visionaries behind cocktail bars and gyms—delivering everything from pitch decks to digital business cards to art nouveau-inspired logos. I love digging into a client’s story and building a visual world that reflects their mission, their values, and their audience.

Every project I take on is driven by a simple belief: design isn’t just decoration—it’s a form of clarity. It’s how you build trust, create understanding, and make people feel something.
